Keshi Pearl Earrings with Blue Topaz
You've found the perfect summer earring!
Keshi Pearls are a type of flat pearl that forms without a nucleus, so instead of creating a spherical shape, the inner layer forms a disc. No two are the same. These unique shapes are in strong contrast with the preciseness of faceted blue topaz stone in the center.
The pearl sits loosely on the ear wire, allowing the shape to rotate.
The ear wires are sterling silver plated with 18k gold (vermeil), with the sterling exposed where they rest in the ear. Earrings clip closed in the back.
Keshi is a Japanese word also meaning "poppy" (ケシ, 芥子).
Handmade in the USA.
